D.I. at Warfest 2017
Orange County and L.A. punk regulars started their New Year by congregating at Warfest 2017 at the Gaslamp in Long Beach. I love this event! The venue is friendly, affordable, and accessible. The crowd is fun, brotherly, and just the right amount of rowdy to keep a healthy pit in-tact for hours on end. My favorite thing about this venue, and Warfest in particular, is the propensity for the bands to just hang out when they’re not on stage. It’s fun to see the bands joining in the mayhem. With headliners D.I. and Agent Orange, Warfest 2017 was designed to succeed.
On that note, I have to highlight D.I.’s performance at the show, they were classic. They played to the crowd… feeding off of the energy that their enthusiastic fans generated. D.I. transformed Gaslamp into a no-holds-barred party. Everyone was out of their seats. The floor rolled in a steadily moving sea of moshing. A notable vibration emanated from the amps, across the stage and into the chest of every person in the crowd. After their set, D.I. hung out and mingled. It was apparent that they were having as much fun as the rest of us at Warfest 2017.
