Light Beer Drinker Loves PBR

Fuzzy blues riffs with emotion driven bass lines (Matt Volkes) and a kick ass drummer (Neko Williams). I love the groove mixed songs and the voice of Tim Beavers II. I was first motivated to see PBR after I heard “Quit or Die” with it’s infectious drum beats and lyrics – this song sounds like Gogol Bordello and Jack White’s love child. Then “I Understand” makes the entire crowd smile and spill drinks – they can’t stop moving. There are plenty of dark, blues-inspired tracks on Quit of Die (the band’s third studio release) with PBR. This trio is loaded with talent, you will find yourself mesmerized by Neko’s drumming, he is a virtuoso, a prodigy on the skins! As I get older I am amazed at how talented and worldly bands like People’s Blues of Richmond seem. It’s like they have already lived more than a lifetime and soaked up enough musicianship and heartache, thus enabling them to spawn amazing albums. I can’t wait to see what they do next!
