Punk Rock Bowling 2018

Las Vegas – Sunday, May 27, 2018

The Briefs took the stage in the middle of the Day on Sunday and I wasn’t sure what to expect. This was my first time seeing them and as I watched Steve E. Nix walking the stage, smoking a cigarette, I was wondering how good they would actually sound. I always wonder how some people can smoke and sing, but there are a lot of vocalists that are pulling if off. As soon as the band started they were captivating. As they continued to play, I kept thinking to myself… I need to get their albums, I need to get a shirt, I hope this isn’t their last song! They were great! Also, since this is Punk Rock Bowling, I actually ran into Steve E. Nix at the Golden Nugget Casino and I said “Hello”, and Steve was super down-to-earth and friendly. That always amazes me, for some reason I assume that band members are going to tell me to “piss-off”, but at this event, it’s like we are all just here to mutually appreciate great music and make friends.
