Unit F Returns to Action Joined by Rocket, Jiro, and The Mormons!

October 6th – Alex’s Bar, Long Beach

UNIT F

Unit F was back at Alex’s Bar with new drummer Andy David. It was great to see the band finding their stride after a few weeks off. If you haven’t been to a Unit F show, you’re missing out on some powerful guitar riffs by David Costa as well as some catchy bass lines by Guillermo! I love the deep and thought provoking lyrics that Mel conjures up in most every song. If you have seen Unit F, be sure to catch them again as Andy’s adding some new flavor to some already established and loved songs.

JIRO

A real unexpected surprise (for me) was Jiro! This 3-man band was amazing, with a strong/full sound and rock star presence. All members are experienced musicians, you can tell right off the bat that they have a solid background. Alex (Enuff Z’Nuff, Life, Sex & Death – LSD, RamonesShark IslandLittle CaesarSass JordanJiroSTARZ – THE BAND and more) was ripping on guitar. Jiro has played with some Punk Rock originals (Richie Ramone, CJ Ramone, Steve Soto, Dez Cadena, Clem Burke, and more) – he’s a solid bass player. Backing up these all-stars is Tim Jimenez on drums, putting down some great beats while making it look effortless. The band was killing it with a full setlist that had some of our favorite punk songs peppered in. Keep your eyes open for your opportunity to see these guys, you will not be disappointed!
